This week North East has two athletes who were nominated for GoErie’s Athlete of the Week. Junior Jerek Turlij was a huge contributor to the Grape Pickers 5-3 win over the Conneaut Eagles. He struck out 14 batters, had a home run and was walked 3 times.
Freshman London Mayo took first place in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles events to help the girl’s track team secure a 96-48 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats.
