Senior Isaiah made the most of his last PIAA State Golf Championships. Swan, making his third trip to the “show,” put himself at the top of the leader board, tied with Matt Tressler of Scranton Prep. Tressler had a rare bogie on his last hole which forced a playoff with Swann. Isaiah hit is opening shot into a natural hazard of ornamental grass. With a near impossible lie and a green that sat well beyond a pond, Swann needed an aggressive shot to make it to the green. What seemed unlikely turned into an amazing stroke that landed him on the green and putting for birdie. When Tressler missed his putt long, Swan was able to capitalize on his opportunity and drained a thirty footer to win the playoff and don the gold medal in dramatic fashion. It was a similar feet that sister Lydia pulled off a year prior with her state championship. Congratulations Isaiah!
